Our second stop was the Island of St Lucia.
March 2011
In this video we see many great sites of St. Lucia
- Beach next to the Petit Piton.
- Stops along the road back to Ship.
- Marigot Bay where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean and Dr Dolittle.
- Overlook of the Port and many ships docked.
- More refreshments also fresh hot bread with cheese.

This is the best Island Tour we have ever been on. We have been on more than a few.

Cosol Tours – we researched and found many good reviews for this tour group. We sent an email and received a prompt response and booked it. We were lucky enough to have a private car for our tour – the mini bus tours were having lots of fun as well.

We left the port at 8:30am and returned at 4:00pm.
For the money and experience and service there is no better tour company than Cosol Tours.
We were well looked after. Breakfast of very good local foods, made by a wonderful lady, Claudia. More than enough for everyone including drivers/guides
Beer/refreshment van was at every major stop and there were many stops. We were all well looked after.
I can not say enough wonderful things about this experience or our driver/tour guide Alex.
This exceeded all our expectations. Other tours could learn much from this wonderful group of individuals.
Many thanks for your time and patience Alex and everyone else involved.

As the #1 tourist destination in the world, Paris does have her share of petty crime and an aware visitor is the smartest kind of tourist. Paris is statistically one of the safest major metropolitan areas in Europe. Violent crime rates are fairly low in Paris.

Crime directed against tourists is the kind that can ruin a vacation: stolen wallets, stolen baggage, credit card fraud. There is a sucker born every minute and ten thousand new suckers jetting into Paris every day, so the thieves and pickpockets do not need to change their methods much; they just practice them until they’ve got it perfect. If they successfully rob you, it will be because their method was new to you, but not to them.

Unlike American cities, where the rich tend to flee to the suburbs, the poor and the immigrants are relegated to the Paris neighborhoods hit hardest by crime which are those on the outskirts of the city so avoid travelling to the Northern Paris suburbs of Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers, Saint-Ouen, etc. after dark. Never leave your bags or valuables unattended in the metro, bus or other public areas. Not only do you risk theft but unattended bags are sometimes considered a security threat.

Here are some common tips for the savvy traveler:

Driving in Paris is not advisable and can be both dangerous and aggravating. Parking spaces are limited, traffic is dense, and erratic driving is common. If you must drive, make sure you have up-to-date international insurance.

Pedestrians should be especially careful while crossing streets and busy intersections. Drivers can be very aggressive in Paris and traffic laws are frequently broken. Even when the light is green, take extra caution while crossing the street. Also watch out for cars in certain areas that seem pedestrian.

Cellular Phones are often whisked off dining tables or even snatched while people hold them up to their ears. It is recommended for tourists to keep their phones tucked away when you are not using them and most importantly be aware of your surroundings.

When traveling by taxi, make sure to verify the minimum price of the taxi ride before getting in the taxi.

It is not uncommon for Paris taxi drivers to overcharge unsuspecting tourists, so be sure to watch the meter, and ask questions if you must. Also, giving the driver a suggested route ahead of time with the aid of a map is a good idea.

Try to go shopping with a Parisian friend and let them do the talking for you, while you keep a low profile. As a foreigner you will stick out like a sore thumb and there is little you can do about that, but use discretion and try to make it less obvious, especially when you are alone and unsure of your directions.

Try not to make a big show of getting a street-map out, or going through all your pockets looking for this roll of film or that bus ticket. It only serves to draw attention to you on the street and to better indicate to the pick-pocket which pocket your wallet is in.

Please be aware of the mess on the back trick. Someone draws your attention to a mark on the back of your jacket (usually ketchup or mayonnaise squirted on, or cold water squirted on the back of your shirt in hot weather) and offers you a tissue to wipe it off. While he is helping, he is also helping himself to your wallet. This happened to a friend, who asked him to do the wiping, which the mugger declined! The mugger walked off, but he was most insistent that my friend really did have something on his back, and followed him to ‘assist’ him further. He ignored him, and when he got home and checked, sure enough there was absolutely nothing there, except his damp palm print on his shirt which had remained.

Colorado is an incredibly beautiful state to visit and is well known for it’s National Parks. It is a great choice for anyone who really loves experiencing the wonders of nature.
Colorado National Parks

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most popular parks that can be found in Colorado. It is also one of the most beautiful. This particular National park is well known for the manyhiking trails that it has to offer,as well as the beautiful Grand Lake.

Mesa Verde National Park is one of the most well known Colorado tourist attractions for one very important reason: it is one of the best well preserved archaeological places in the entire country. Although hiking is fairly popular in this Mesa Verde national park, keep in mind that only certain trails are open to the public.

Great Sand Dunes National Park is another very beautiful national park. Hiking, which tends to be popular in most national parks, tends to be slightly more difficult in this particular one, due to the sand. Another very popular activity to take part in at this national park is sand castle building. Keep in mind that biking is not allowed here.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is another one of the great national parks in Colorado that may be of interest to you. Rock-climbing and hiking for people of all skill levels is very popular in this national park. If you are very adventurous, this may be the right national park for you to visit.

Salt Lake City

Another interesting idea is to take a day trip while you are staying in Colorado, to Salt Lake City. There are many things to see and do in this city, which is not too far from Colorado. Some of the different tourist attractions that can be found here include Off Broadway Theatre, Lagoon Amusement Park, Utah’s Hogle Zoo and the Living Planet Aquarium.

Bohol, a small island in central Philippines, is known for the world famous and unique Chocolate Hills. It is one of the country’s most popular tourist spots. It’s true though that when most people think of Bohol, almost nothing else comes to mind. It might surprise you that it is more than the usual tourist spot and that there’s more to explore and to see in this island than those limestone hill formations.

Bohol is home to pristine beach shores. Panglao Island, just minutes away from the capital Tagbilaran, is increasingly gaining more popularity among local and foreign tourists as a more laid-back and tranquil beach destination alternative to Boracay.

But if you’re the kind who’s not satisfied with having a few dips in the water and taking in spectacular beachfront views, Bohol will certainly not disappoint. Scuba divers have more than enough choices of world class diving spots surrounding the island. Colorful coral reefs and rich marine life will surely satisfy all types of explorers, from novice snorkelers to expert divers.

Another popular attraction is dolphin and whale watching. Pamilacan Island is headquarters to the best spotters that arrange these tours. Most were former hunters who joined the dolphin and whale watching program after the Philippine government banned the killing of these marine mammals.

Bohol’s exotic wildlife is not limited underwater. The island’s last remaining forests protect unique fauna. It is home to one of the world’s smallest primates, the tarsier. You can visit the Philippine Tarsier Foundation in Corella and see the timid and peculiar animal in its natural habitat.

The Rajah Sikatuna National Park, a large forest reserve near Bilar, is a bird-watcher’s paradise. Treks along the trails throughout the park can lead you to an encounter with some of the country’s rare bird species.

Bohol is also a place rich with culture and history. Century-old churches in Baclayon, Loboc, Loay, Maribojoc, Loon and Dauis are a few of the standing monuments. And there are old Spanish watchtowers in Punta Cruz, Dauis, Panglao and Pamilacan.

If you want to keep away from the province’s usual tourist trail, you can travel along the less popular eastern side of the island. It has some of the most amazing coastlines, and secluded beaches, from the town of Anda in the southeast to the town of Talibon in the north.

Some of the towns in Bohol also offer community-based tours. Calape, Maribojoc and Candijay are among such towns. It is a great option to visit these towns’ protected mangrove areas and experience the quaint rural life in this part of the country. These tours showcase how resolute the locals are in preserving the island’s natural environment.

But to really experience Bohol is to experience the people’s hospitality. Try visiting the island in May when town fiestas are celebrated almost everyday. You can hop from town to town without having to bring money other than for transportation. You’d surely be invited to residents’ homes and enjoy feasts of lechon baboy (roasted pig) and kinilaw (raw fish).

Bohol is an island blessed with so much bounty and natural beauty. There’s no argument about that. What sets it apart from other tourist spots is that there’s so much to explore and so much to do that it’s actually pretty difficult to decide which one to do first. Of course, you can’t pass up a visit to the impressive Chocolate Hills. But staying overnight at this famous spot just to see stunning sunrise and sunset over the surreal landscape will be well worth it.

London is a wonderful place to visit but you do need to plan in advance to make the most of your time. Visitors to London can count on hundreds of London activities and sights, spanning a variety of categories, to satisfy even the most adventurous of spirits. London is considered an expensive city in the world and even though its home for many foreign migrants, still keeping its traditional heritage and surrounding. There is an incredible amount of points to consider: when to visit, what to see—. Most overseas travelers favor the summer months because of school vacations and warmer weather. July and August are also busy months for tourism, so keep that in mind if you want to avoid large crowds. London weather is quite unpredictable. So always carry both sunglasses and an umbrella. No visit to London would be complete without a ride on the famous “double-decker” buses

City of London provides many attractions for visitors. Some of which are:-

1. 1.Buckingham Palace:-Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household.

2. The British London Eye:-The British London Eye is the world’s largest observation wheel and a permanent fixture in London’s skyline. The views over London during the 30-minute “flight” are sensational. The British London Eye has won more than 75 awards for national and international tourism.

3 3. St. Pauls Cathedral:- St Paul’s Cathedral is an Anglican Cathedral on Ludgate Hill, in the city of London and the seat of the Bishop of London. The cathedral is one of London’s most visited sites. St Paul’s Cathedral is the masterpiece of a man of genius, Britain’s most admired architect, Sir Christopher Wren, and one of the world’s best-loved buildings.

4. British Museum:- : The history and culture of the whole world is contained in this storehouse of the British Empire, one of London’s most popular visitor attractions. Ancient mummies, the Rosetta Stone, and a real statue from Easter Island, are all arranged in the museum’s airy galleries.

5. London Tower:- More than one royal miscreant and a few of Henry VIII’s wives met their ends in the Tower of London, which comprises a fortress, palace, and royal storehouse built by William the Conqueror more than 900 years ago. It is located within the London Borough of Tower Hamlet and is separated from the eastern edge of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill.

It would take a lifetime to see everything that London has to offer. Perhaps that is why so many visitors regard each trip to London as a “once in a lifetime experience” and return often to continue their explorations of its many facets.

Yes, Madrid is one of the greatest cities in the world, but like any other place, it of course has its flaws. But, if you are smart and research in advance you can avoid getting disappointed when you visit the Spanish capital. I have written a bit about a few tourist pitfalls in Madrid so you can avoid doing the same mistake as so many tourists have done in the past. Check out the tips below and don’t fall into the same tourist traps as other tourists.

1. Don’t eat or drink on any of the restaurants in Plaza Mayor.

When you’re taking in the attractive Plaza Mayor, you might feel thirsty. You may feel hungry. You may be tempted to order some tapas and ice cold cerveza (beer) on one of the many restaurants and cafés lining the plaza. Please try to resist the urge! The prices are extremely inflated and the quality is so-so. A coffee for an arm and a leg? Paella in exchange for your lung? It’s no good for any traveller who appreciates value for money. The restaurants around Plaza Mayor is the perfect place to practice your “No, gracias”!

2. Do not go to Madrid’s Amusement Park and/or Warner Brother’s Park

Thrill-seeker are ya? Looking for the rush of the wind in your hair and a roller coaster throwing you upside down at record speeds? Go to Six Flags when you get home. Madrid still has lots to learn when it comes to amusement parks, and these options are not only disappointing, they’re fantastically overpriced. Basically you will end up paying through the nose for something very sub-adequate. Be smart, save your money, and stay away.

3. Don’t tip

Yes, you may be used to tipping where you are from. But in Spain there are other customs. You are not, I repeat, NOT expected to tip in Spain as you would in the USA. There is no “15 to 20%” on your bill. Yes, they still get a good wage even if you do not tip them! However, it is customary to leave/give some spare change, a few 10 cent coins at most, in restaurants and to taxi drivers. If you’ve really enjoyed the service, or someone has been particularly great, you can give him or her more, but the maximum would be a euro, and even that might be considered excessive.

That’s it. If you can avoid these tourist traps your trip to Madrid has already improved its chances of being a success.
