The Tropitonics at the Caribbean Days Festival 2009

The Tropitonics performed at the Caribbean Days Festival held at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver,BC,Canada. It only took a minute or two until the area in front of the stage was full of people dancing. It is hard not to feel the rythym these guys drum out on their steel pans and saxophone. My understanding is that this group has been performing together for 20-odd years and it shows. The lead vocalist is Timmy who is originally from Barbados. The girl on stage left of im is his daughter (name unknown). The saxophonist is Ron and he owns and operates a flag shop located on Columbia Street in the City of New Westminster. Ron is originally from St. Vincent. They are available for private functions and parties as well as big festivals,which they regularily attend here in BC.
