Back in the olden …
Back in the olden days when I was an extreme skier we used to ski barefoot on bricks. You had to have real talent to carve on those but you were like greased lightning once you had mad brick skills. kids today and their newfangled skis and boots. They really ruined it for all of us old guys with excellent technique. -

I agree. Both my …
I agree. Both my parents worked at breckenridge in the 70s and hadnt skied on anything but straights untill 04 when i first went skiing.(yea kinda sad parents worked at a ski area i didnt go untill i was 15) they taught me the basics the first day and i was doin fine the second. But they could still smoke me… that form stayed with them and they can absolutley fly on parabolics. In conclusion a beginner can carve but still cant catch someone with form. -

Ha! I used to race …
Ha! I used to race in the late ’60’s and early ’70’s with skis (Rossignal Strato’s and Dynamic VR-17’s) that required excellent technique to carve. These skis were rockets once you knew how to carve. Now any moron can carve with crappy technique. -

This is a good and …
This is a good and wellpresented series for anyone learning to ski, period. Some years ago french instructors tried to ban danish instructors from their resorts, but that was only because they felt threatened by the talented and friendly danes. That may be the cause of some of the more “serious looking” bad comments from “professionals”. -

Would really appreciate if you’d look at my technique. I think your vids are great by the way. I’m the one in the green jacket at the end of Les Arcs Part 2. Would appreciate any feedback. Cheers xx -

??? Idiot …
??? Idiot whackedgsgw. First of all, I bet your average French soldier back in the World Wars had a of a lot more courage than you. If you haven’t studied the history and don’t know how horrible life was back then, then shut up, you’re just making a fool of yourself.Second, you would hold someone accountable to one’s ancestor’s actions why?
Third, what does this have to do with skiing!? This vid is a good intro to carving.
